The Coo Waterfall is one of Belgium’s most impressive man-made waterfalls, created in the 18th century.
Located in Petit Coo, near Stavelot, the Coo Waterfall is an artificial waterfall about 15 meters high. It was shaped in the 18th century by monks from Stavelot Abbey to control the Amblève River and protect nearby watermills from flooding.
Close by is the lower basin of the Coo-Trois-Ponts hydroelectric power plant. The site is a well-known attraction in the Ardennes, popular for its scenic views and hiking opportunities.
