An iconic site combining heritage, nature, and recreation in the Ardennes.

The Gileppe Dam, built between 1867 and 1875, is Belgium's first concrete dam. It supplies the region with drinking water and offers breathtaking views from its 77.6-meter-high panoramic tower, accessible by elevator. The majestic 13.5-meter-high lion, created by Félix-Antoine Bouré, is another iconic feature of the site. Visitors can also enjoy hiking and mountain biking trails, a treetop adventure park, and a brasserie-restaurant overlooking the lake.
