A museum dedicated to Baron Jacques de Dixmude, focusing on his military career and commitment.

The General Jacques Museum honours Jules Alphonse Jacques, nicknamed Baron Jacques de Dixmude, Belgian war hero. The museum displays around a hundred objects — uniforms, medals, swords, historical documents — illustrating the most important stages of his life: his years in the Congo, his role in the First World War (particularly the defence of the Yser) and his commitment until his death in 1928.
The museum is located five minutes from the centre of Vielsalm, in the old Ratz barracks in Rencheux. Admission is free, and guided tours are available for groups and schools.
