The Malmundarium, a restored Benedictine monastery, has become a cultural hub in Malmedy offering history, craftsmanship, folklore, and interactive exhibits.

The Malmundarium is located in the former Benedictine monastery in Malmedy, founded in the 7th century. Carefully restored, the building covers around 3,000 m² over two floors plus attic space. It houses various sections: the cloister and inner courtyard; the leather workshop; the paper workshop; the carnival workshop; the Mon’Art gallery; the Cathedral’s treasure; and the Historium — a timeline of 14 centuries of Malmedy’s history from its origins to the present day. The experience is interactive and playful, suitable for families, schools, and curious individuals. The Malmundarium also hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural animations throughout the year.
